Fabric → NeoForge

Convert

Drop a Fabric mod JAR, get a NeoForge JAR back with a report of everything that changed.

The converter is not built yet (milestone M3).

There is no drop zone here yet, because nothing would happen if you used it.

What it will do

  1. You drop one or more .jar files. Within two seconds the page shows, for each one: mod id, name, version, loader, game version, license (from fabric.mod.json), dependencies, and the tier the classifier assigned, with the reason.
  2. You pick the target: NeoForge, for Minecraft 1.21.1 or 1.21.11.
  3. Tier A converts in your browser with a progress log. The JAR never leaves your machine. The result is a download link that exists only in that tab, plus a report: what was remapped, which rules fired, which API calls were rewritten, and what was left untouched and why.
  4. Tier B offers "Queue a deep conversion" to signed-in users and shows the queue position. The result and its report come back to the page, and optionally to a GitHub Gist you own.
  5. Unsupported mods are refused, and the page names the reason.

What it will never do

  • Store, cache, host or link to a converted JAR. Conversions are for your own game.
  • Convert a mod whose author asked for it not to be converted.
  • Call a result green without a harness run. See the license policy for how licenses are handled.

The converter will need JavaScript, because it runs in your browser, and it will say so when it is off.
